MEET Brittany Churchill
Mother. Author. Advocate. Founder.
I untangle overwhelm and architect the invisible stuff.
I like to keep things simple and practical, so there’s more time and energy for what matters most.
In 2012 after a traumatic birth and the mental overload of early motherhood, Brittany Churchill began creating simple ways to manage the overwhelm she was experiencing in real time. At the time, she didn’t yet realize she had been navigating postpartum depression.
Those tools became the foundation for Tap In Not Out, a practical framework and book known for its honesty, humor, and approachable guidance for anyone feeling overwhelmed. Looking back, the book became a record of Brittany finding her way through an experience she didn’t yet have the language to understand.
That ability to make complicated emotions feel understandable and manageable has become a thread throughout Brittany’s work. Whether she is writing, coaching, speaking, or building new solutions, she has a natural way of helping people feel seen, safe, and less alone. Her work is deeply personal but always practical, helping people move from overwhelm toward greater clarity, peace, and confidence.
That personal work eventually led to a much bigger question: Why are so many mothers struggling without recognizing what is happening or receiving support early enough?
Today, Brittany is the founder of Strategies for Moms, where she works alongside researchers, clinicians, and technologists to develop research-backed tools that help identify changes in a mother’s mental health and capacity earlier and provide meaningful support in everyday life.
Through her writing, coaching, speaking, research, advocacy, and the development of TINO, Brittany is working toward a future where mothers are better equipped to understand what they are experiencing, recognize when something has changed, and access support before overwhelm becomes crisis.
